Level up your longboarding. This experience bridges the gap between catching waves and mastering flow. We built this for intermediate surfers who handle the lineup with ease and want to focus on connecting maneuvers.
You’ll work on timing, positioning, and flow. On learning how turns create speed, how speed opens space, and how that space allows for calm cross stepping and time on the nose. You’ll learn when to move, when to stay planted, and how to let the wave do more of the work.
You will surf every day, often more than once. Warm water, longboard friendly waves, and enough room to actually apply what you’re learning session to session.
This is a focused week for surfers who want their surfing to hold up across more conditions and waves, as well as feel calmer under pressure.
Most surfers don’t lack effort. They lack repetition with feedback.
They surf often, but rarely get the chance to slow things down, review what’s actually happening, and apply adjustments immediately. This week is designed to create that loop.
The group is kept small so everyone gets real attention. You surf, review footage, talk through what’s happening, then paddle back out and apply it again. That rhythm repeats every day. No rushing, no pressure, no ego. Just steady progression built through time in the water.
Longboarding isn’t about forcing movements or chasing one maneuver. It’s about understanding how everything connects.
Grace comes from control. Power comes from positioning. Flow comes from knowing how to link movements without tension.
We spend time working on setting up turns that hold speed, using turns to open sections instead of outrunning them, staying balanced through direction changes, and connecting turns to trim, cross steps, and nose rides.
When turns improve, everything else settles. Cross steps feel calmer, time on the nose feels earned, and the entire ride becomes more connected. The goal is improving the full ride, not chasing a single moment.
Kevin is in the water with you every single day.
This is not theory and it is not surface level feedback. It is hands on coaching in real conditions, session after session.
He works closely with each surfer on:
wave selection and positioning
takeoff angles and first turns
drawing turns with control and purpose
generating power without losing grace
when and how to cross step
staying calm and balanced through nose rides
Coaching is personal. Everyone surfs differently and that is respected.
Daily video review helps lock things in. You see what you are doing. You understand why something works. You understand why something falls apart. Then you go surf again.
The goal is surfing that feels more natural and holds up when conditions change.
Tommy is shooting every session in the water with you.
Photos are delivered each day of the retreat so you can connect what you feel on a wave with what it actually looks like.
The focus is not on performance shots.
It is on real surfing and real moments.
Moments of joy, and moments of your FUN.
Your surf lifestyle, captured by Tommy.
You leave with professional imagery that reflects your surfing and the progression that happens during the week.
Your drone footage will be used as a learning tool.
Each day we capture aerial clips during your sessions so you can see your surfing from a perspective that is hard to understand from the water alone.
This allows us to look closely at:
how you position yourself on the wave
how your turns set up the rest of the ride
how and when you move on the board
how flow builds or breaks down
Daily feedback sessions bring everything together. Kevin walks through the footage with you and helps translate what you see into clear adjustments you can apply in the next session.
The goal is not perfection. It is awareness and better surfing.
Seeing your surfing clearly helps build confidence, intention, and trust in your movement.
You go back out with a better understanding of how grace, power, and flow actually show up on a wave. All drone clips will be yours to take home.
We chose Lombok because it supports this style of surfing.
Warm water. Consistent swell. Breaks that allow long rides and time to move with intention.
We work with experienced local guides and handle daily transport so we can be where the conditions suit longboards best that day.
The rhythm stays simple.
Surf.
Eat.
Rest.
Review.
Surf again.
That simplicity is what allows flow to build.
